My hair story isn’t really that amazing. So in 2018 I was going through a big depressive state and I really needed to change.. I had big long curly hair since I was a kid, it was time for a change! One day I was just going to cut a bit of my long hair, and suddenly I asked for it to be cut short! I felt so relieved and free… It’s strange getting used to having this hair, since people judge you or just don’t accept the change. Besides that, it was one of the best decisions of my life!

I cut my hair because I didn’t think I looked good with long hair, and was bored of it. Short hair is just more fun! On top of that I was only ever tying back my long hair anyway, and that doesn’t do it justice…
I never got any negative comments on it. Everyone (men and women) would say, “WOW, it looks so good on you/you look gorgeous/you look amazing/it’s so cute” and they seemed to share the belief that I looked better than I did before cutting it.
Until fairly recently. Some guy I dated briefly before he returned to his home country came back to visit me after about 4 years of being away and when we were catching up he goes, “why did you cut your hair?” in this “wtf were you thinking” kind of tone and then said absolutely nothing after I explained the reasons why. The whole meet-up with him was a mess anyway. And I guess short hair also serves as a way to weed out anyone with the “girls should only have long hair” mentality. I mean, if you get caught up on something so superficial that doesn’t have anything to do with you, I don’t wanna associate with you anyway!

I love my short hair as does my husband!
Not everyone can pull off a pixie style and I’m grateful I can. It’s freeing, easy, fun, edgy! If people don’t like my short hair they can turn their heads and look at something else. I will not let society dictate what I “should” do. I’m a Beautiful woman with any hair length I choose. Bold women have short hair !!!!
Not spending money on curlers, straighteners, extensions and all the other stuff long hair people spend money on leaves me money to travel, donate, pay off my mortgage, save and invest in my future

Short hair is the way !!
    Pixie for life

I cut my hair off cause I was sick of looking an absolute mess. I have so much more confidence and its a lot easier managed! I had a rough year and it feels like I’m a new me , new start and fresh start! Wish I had of done it sooner.

I cut my hair (multiple times) because society does not determine the norm for me, nor should it for anyone else. Today’s world has become so engulfed in making sure everyone knows that women can do anything men do, but in doing so we’re losing our individually as women. What makes us unique, what defines us, what elevates us. Who cares if your hair is short or long, and who cares what anyone thinks, not only men. As a stylist anytime I’ve cut my hair I’ve gotten negative feedback from both men and women alike. However my husband always supports my style no matter what, because he is a good person, nothing to do with him being male. CHOP IT!
